Renovation & Project Status (June 2026)

The Lincoln Clay Arts Center (LCAC) is currently securing final bids from qualified trade contractors for essential building renovations.

Recent Progress

In June, the City of Lincoln completed repairs to the exterior windows and refreshed the building's exterior—painting the window trim, doors, eaves, gutters, and downspouts.

Upcoming Construction Timeline

• September – December 2026: Interior construction is scheduled to begin by September and wrap up by the end of December 2026.

• Key Improvements Include:

  • Installing an ADA wheelchair lift for full accessibility

  • Upgrading plumbing, electrical, and restroom facilities

  • Laying new flooring on the main level

  • Applying fresh paint throughout the interior

Next Steps

Once renovations are complete, LCAC will fit the space with essential studio equipment, including kilns, wedging tables, slab rollers, pottery wheels, and extruders.
