Main Level Studio Spaces

The main level features a workspace designed for six resident clay artists. Bathed in natural light from large arched windows, the studio features 15-foot coved ceilings with historic fixtures upgraded with studio-quality lighting.

Individual Artist Workspaces

Each dedicated studio space (approx. 8' x 12') includes:

• A professional pottery wheel and sculpting table

• Metal storage racks and wooden shelving for supplies and works in progress

Shared Amenities & Equipment

Residents enjoy full access to communal studio tools and specialized spaces, including:

• Clay Processing Tools: Slab roller, extruder, and a heavy-duty wedging table

• Utility Station: Stainless steel utility sinks and heat guns

• Resident Gallery: Dedicated display area to showcase and sell artwork

• Firing Facilities: Two electric kilns (large and medium) safely housed on the lower level

Lower Level Clay Workshop

The lower level of the Center houses our dynamic clay workshop, designed to host classes of up to ten students. Bathed in natural light from original, hopper-style windows, the space is illuminated with updated lighting engineered for studio work.

Classroom Features

• Collaborative Central Worktable: Designed for hand-building, group instruction, and shared learning.

• 10 Professional Pottery Wheels: Arranged for optimal interaction between students and instructors.

Shared Student Amenities & Equipment

Students enjoy access to a fully equipped studio space, including:

• Clay Tools: Slab roller, clay extruder, and a dedicated wedging table

• Cleanup & Drying Stations: Stainless steel utility sinks and studio heat guns

• Firing Facilities: Two electric kilns (large and medium) housed in an adjacent utility room

Note: The Center’s main administrative office is also located on the lower level, ensuring staff and instructors are always on hand to assist.
